GCount is a menu bar and/or Dock item that displays the unread status of the inbox of a recently popular email service. It allows to specify an alternate web browser for gCount to use for external links (eg. Open Inbox, Compose Mail). gCount uses your proxy settings, if you use one. Gmail Notifier is a Windows program with two optional components: COMPONENT 1 sits in the Windows system tray and notifies a user when Email arrives in a Gmail inbox, and COMPONENT 2 associates “mailto” links with Gmail.
